Support I
This part-time, season position (mid-October to end of April) of Support I works under the direction of the Executive Director of St. John the Evangelist Homeless Shelter. Responsibilities for this position include providing a seasonal, overnight shelter for homeless adults and provision of services to the homeless population. Typical hours are 5-9 am with limited 4-12 pm, rotating weekend hours.
Qualifications for the Support I position include a high school degree with experience working with low income and/or homeless individuals a plus. Individual must also be capable of accurate and complete recording of data, basic Microsoft office and internet skills.
Successful candidate will be able to demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills with people from diverse backgrounds and with diverse abilities. Individual must be able to maintain confidentiality, work effectively and cooperatively with others and respond to direction, comments, and inquiries in a timely manner while demonstrating a positive attitude with all individuals he/she comes in contact with. This individual must work closely with all staff to provide advocacy and support for shelter guests.

Support II
This part-time, season position (mid-October to end of April) of Support II works under the direction of the Executive Director of St. John the Evangelist Homeless Shelter. Responsibilities for this position include providing a seasonal, overnight shelter for homeless adults and provision of services to the homeless population.
Qualifications for the Support II position include a high school (HS) degree with Associate Degree and experience working with low income and/or homeless individuals preferred. Individual must also be capable of accurate and complete recording of data, excellent Microsoft office and internet skills. Demonstrated leadership abilities needed to make responsible decisions independently and in absence of Lead. Typical hours are 4-12 pm, midnight-9 am, with rotating weekends.
Successful candidate will be able to demonstrate exceptional interpersonal skills with people from diverse backgrounds and with diverse abilities. Individual must be able to maintain confidentiality, work effectively and cooperatively with others and respond to direction, comments, and inquiries in a timely manner while demonstrating a positive attitude with all individuals he/she comes in contact with. This individual must work closely with all staff to provide advocacy and support for shelter guests. Assistance with accurate guest intake and record keeping is required. Daily overall assistance and advocacy for shelter guests as well as interaction with area service providers is expected.

Safety/Support
This part-time, season position (mid-October to end of April) of Safety/support works under the direction of the Executive Director of St. John the Evangelist Homeless Shelter. Responsibilities for this position are to ensure the safety and security of the shelter and offer support to the guests, staff, and volunteers.
Qualifications for the Safety/Support position include a high school (HS) degree, with post HS education and previous safety or security training a plus. Must also be capable of accurate and complete recording of data, very good Microsoft office and internet skills for background checks. Typical hours are 4 pm-12 midnight, midnight – 9 am, with rotating weekends.
Successful candidate will be able to demonstrate leadership skills and exceptional interpersonal skills with people from diverse backgrounds and with diverse abilities. Individual must be able to maintain confidentiality, work effectively and cooperatively with others and respond to direction, comments, and inquiries in a timely manner while demonstrating a positive attitude with all individuals he/she comes in contact with. This individual is responsible for effectively handling disruptive behavior or altercations if necessary.
